Francesca Vessia

Francesca Vessia is Full Professor of Commercial Law, Competition Law, and Intellectual Property Law at the University of Bari Aldo Moro since 2006, teaching undergraduate and graduate programs. She holds a PhD in Commercial Law and is a lawyer, as well as the author, co-author, and editor of eight books and approximately 70 articles. Her research focuses on corporate law, intellectual property law, and competition law, with a specific interest in the intersection of these fields with new technologies (AI, blockchain, and NFTs).

She is a member of the Banking and Financial Arbitrators' Board of the Bank of Italy, President of the Intellectual Property Commission of the University of Bari, and Principal Investigator of the Pro.Per.IPRs project on Intellectual Property and AI, funded by the European Commission and the Ministry of University and Research, and a member of the CHANGES project on cultural heritage, funded by the European Commission and the Ministry of University and Research.
